Meth(adone) comes to Salem redux
There is a meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals tomorrow, Wednesday December 15. The meeting is to consider the latest plans of Community Health, Inc. to place a methadone clinic in Salem. This time at the former Hillcrest Chevrolet location. I imagine that they see this as a more vulnerable location as the largest neighbors are apartment complexes, rather than home owners prone to screaming about their property values. Who cares if there are two schools down the street, right?
If you don't want this legal narcotic dealer coming to Salem you need to show up at the City Hall Annex tomorrow evening.

Council gets Klassy!
The Salem City Council passed an ordinance allowing the public to comment for 15 minutes during city council meetings. Set your DVR. The freaks and geeks will be out.
Check out the Scranton PA city council, which is famous for its city council public commentary. Go to Youtube, and search for Scranton City Council. Here is one user who has posted several examples. Here's another, check out the Ray Lyman videos especially.
I can't wait till we get our own crazy theater.
