Clearly Salem doesn't do enough to support the homeless community. My suggestion? If you were going to cut a check to Lifebridge this year, think about donating to River House instead. Help some other communities bear some of the burden. (Yes, I know it sucks to be homeless. It also sucks to have them passed out on your front steps.)

Salem wannabe Warlock Christian Day made TMZ again. We're laughing AT you, not with you, Christian. Nice guyliner though. Still waiting to see results from the Charlie Sheen Binding. Master of self promotion? Surely. Master of his craft? Doesn't look like it.
Read the comments. Some real winners.

Nice to see the Salem News finally caught up with the students recording teachers story. Too bad it was discussed on Salem Patch and here about six days before the Snooze caught on. Guess it pays to actually be in town.

You can see some pictures of the Blaney Street Pier progress on Salem Patch. Better than mine. Skipped the vanity sign though. Salem News is reporting that the project is on schedule, though I know that one of the abutters was told that they were about two weeks behind schedule. Also, the closure of Blaney Street that was supposed to take place on April 1 was pushed back about a week, with no notice to the neighbors who were told they couldn't be there starting on April 1.
You can see the sign through the fence I snuck through. Thanks for the shout-outs.
ReplyDeleteChristian is a pretty smart guy, G. Yes, he is a shameless self-promoter, but at least he admits it proudly. He owns a business and has rent to pay. Better to do what he is doing than go out of business like the vast majority of new enterprises these days.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I enjoyed the "manliner", too!
The likelihood is that I'll be a player on the stage here long after you're gone, Klassy. I've outlasted Usovicz, Carol Thissel, Stan Burchfield, and pretty much anyone else that tried to stamp me under their feet. And if I haven't outlasted my detractors, I've assimilated them, which is even better because it puts their great talents to use. You couldn't begin to understand the level of strategy that goes into what I do. Stick to blogging ... badly.
ReplyDeleteSomeone is a crankypants.
ReplyDeleteChristian, I pointed out your appearance on TMZ. Isn't that what you want? I mean, you did the same thing on Twitter this morning.
ReplyDeleteIt's always hilarious to me when a naked attention whore complains about the form of the attention. The comments on these TMZ articles must be killing you. Especially the ones from Salem witches calling you out on being a shyster fraud.
Love him or hate him, G, Christian is one of the most colorful and interesting people in Salem. For the most part, he seems to have a pretty thick skin - which is good, because he takes a fair amount of abuse for his extreme visibility. Even when "cranky" he seems to retain his sense of humor. As I say, he has valid reasons (supporting a small business) for being a shamless self-promoter. I just wish I could talk him out of all that warlock mumbo-jumbo. The curious thing is that he is a very bright and well-read person, yet seems to actually BELIEVE what he says!
ReplyDeleteYou two need to get along. You are both "out on a limb" in your own unique ways!
Uh, that's "shameless", not "shamless".
ReplyDeleteI can't vouch for his being a shamless self-promoter!
I don't have a problem with him at all. I enjoy his colorful nature. He clearly can't handle being teased, which is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteTry teasing me and see what happens. :)
ReplyDeleteI can handle being teased, dear. I just don't think you do it well. Here's someone who does :)

Now that, and nearly all the comments that go along with it, is teasing, snarky, and downright brilliant. Maybe you should a year in Great Britain. :)
Hmmm. The link to the Guardian didn't link so I'm trying this.
